On YouTube and user behavior....

I've finally caught up with Youtube :P
Though, my usage makes me wonder about potential features that iTunes or Amazon could offer. Unlike most visitors, I use YouTube to "listen" to songs, and not to watch the videos. Often, the song is playing in an inactive browser tab, and I go back to that tab only if I want to replay that song, or play something else. Earlier, if I wanted to check out a song for free, I'd be forced to listen to a 30 second (or max, 1 minute) clip on some site. Now, if iTunes allowed users to listen to entire songs for free, I'd probably go back to it. Of course, how can one fit monetization in this user behavior, is the next logical question. So, here's an idea...hey wait, that was just the clip. The actual idea is worth 99c ;)

In the meanwhile, here are some songs / videos on my playlist this week:

1) Hallelujah (Jeff Buckley) - I love the way Buckley plays the guitar for the first 70 seconds!
2) Bleeding Love (Leona Lewis)
3) Pehli Nazar Mein (Atif Aslam)
4) Love in this club (Usher)
5) Jaane Kya (Pyaar ke side effects)
